About Me
Experience
I am Dr. Bryce Gold, a native Washingtonian and former teacher with experience working abroad in China and Italy and locally in Bethesda. For the past 9 years, I have been providing psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC. My background includes working as a clinical psychologist providing comprehensive evaluations and psychotherapy within the Montgomery County and District of Columbia Public School Systems, at Children’s National, at both Georgetown University and George Washington University, and within a group private practice. I specialize in working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, school or workplace struggles, major life transitions or stressors, and navigating neurodivergence.
My Approach
My therapeutic approach is warm, compassionate, and deeply personalized, rooted in the belief that a trusting connection is the foundation for meaningful growth. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you feel valued, understood, and empowered. I am passionate about fostering an inclusive and non-judgmental environment where diversity is celebrated and healing feels achievable. Having lived, studied, and worked abroad in China and Italy, I have a deep commitment to supporting international clients and those navigating cross-cultural experiences. For parents, I incorporate Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (S.P.A.C.E.) Therapy principles to help anxious children and draw inspiration from Donald Winnicott’s “Good Enough” parenting concept, emphasizing that perfection isn’t necessary for children to thrive. I draw from psychodynamic and behavioral theories, utilizing techniques such as play therapy (including sand and art therapy), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and traditional psychotherapy. Whether you’re seeking growth, clarity, or support, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy and care, helping you navigate your journey and thrive.
